Job summary

Kingfisher Primary Academy, part of Astrea Academy Trust, is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead learning for individuals, groups and classes in a 31-hour, term-time role in Doncaster. The successful candidate will support pupils with diverse needs and work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education.

You should have HLTA status or equivalent, strong teaching and safeguarding commitments, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience of working effectively within a primary school setting.
• HLTA status or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Strong understanding of teaching and learning strategies.
• The ability to motivate, inspire and support pupils of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to high expectations and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes.
• Provide high-quality support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required.
• Support the assessment of pupil progress and contribute to planning.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to raise achievement.
