Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester for the remainder of the autumn term and beyond. The role involves supporting or delivering lessons, leading small-group interventions and maintaining positive classroom routines.

Essential requirements include a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent, UK-based school experience in the last two years, and strong safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent held in the UK with demonstrable responsibilities.
• Recent UK school experience within last two years.
• Experience leading learning activities or taking responsibility for groups of pupils.
• Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
• Professional approach to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support or deliver lessons under the school's direction.
• Lead small-group interventions and structured learning sessions.
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Adapt activities to learners' needs.
• Monitor engagement and feed back to teachers.
• Take responsibility for groups or classroom activities where appropriate.
