Job summary

Greyfriars Catholic School in Oxfordshire is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Attendance and Inclusion) to support pupils with attendance, SEMH and SEND needs within the Attendance and Inclusion Hub.

You will deliver bespoke interventions, coordinate reintegration into mainstream lessons, and work with the SENCO and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning while maintaining high expectations and caring support.

Qualifications

• Essential: HLTA qualification and experience.
• Experience teaching or delivering interventions to SEND students.
• Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire students.
• Alignment with Greyfriars’ ethos: championing every student to flourish.
• Optimistic outlook and safeguarding commitment.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and delivery of an inclusive curriculum for students with SEND.
• Plan and prepare differentiated interventions to meet complex needs.
• Assist with curriculum development to ensure inclusivity.
• Coordinate and deliver provision within the Attendance and Inclusion Hub.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to maximise outcomes.
