Job summary

The Harbour School is seeking a committed Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team in Twickenham. You will work under the class teacher and SLT to provide targeted support for pupils, including those with EHCPs for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and help advance progress through specialist interventions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant/HLTA qualification or working towards it.
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and complex needs.
• Confident, patient, nurturing and a strong team player.
• Ability to implement safeguarding and child protection aware practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised provision for pupils not on track to meet age expectations.
• Support behaviour management and pupil engagement using Meridian Trust strategies.
• Deliver high quality phonics and reading fluency provision.
• Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning activities with teaching staff.
• Support APDRs, behaviour plans, curriculum planning and assessment with feedback.
• Encourage inclusion and participation, and contribute to wider academy life.
