Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a HLTA to support a SRB base, working with pupils aged 3-11 with ALN, including Autism/ASD and ADHD. You will lead the class in the absence of the class teacher and deliver engaging learning activities within a mainstream setting.

The role is full-time and long-term from after October half term, with dedicated consultant support, CPD opportunities and market-leading pay rates.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ALN.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, ADHD and complex needs.
• Confidence leading a class in the absence of the class teacher.
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream school in Cardiff who are looking to appoint an HLTA to work within their SRB base. The provision supports pupils aged 3-11 with a range of ALN, providing additional support within a mainstream school environment.

The school is looking to take on an HLTA on a full-time, long-term basis from after October half term. The successful HLTA will support pupils with Autism / ASD, ADHD and complex needs, as well as taking responsibility for leading the class and delivering learning activities when the class teacher is released.

The successful HLTA will have:

• Experience supporting children with ALN
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, ADHD and complex needs
• Confidence leading a class in the absence of the class teacher
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• A patient, adaptable and caring approach
