TeacherActive is seeking a confident History Teacher for a Bishop Auckland secondary school. This role offers flexible day-to-day cover with an immediate start, primarily History across KS3/KS4 and occasional general cover.

You will be expected to maintain high behavioural standards and deliver engaging lessons. Applicants should hold QTS with History, have secondary teaching experience and strong knowledge of KS3/KS4 curricula.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Bishop Auckland that is looking for a confident and engaging History Teacher. The school provides a supportive learning environment and requires a strong classroom practitioner who can maintain high expectations and encourage students to engage with their learning.

The school is looking to take on a History Teacher for flexible day-to-day work with an immediate start. The successful History Teacher will primarily provide History cover across the secondary age range, while also being confident providing general classroom cover when required and maintaining excellent standards of behaviour.

The successful History Teacher will have:

• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status with a History specialism
• Experience teaching History within a secondary school environment
• Strong knowledge of the History curriculum across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering engaging and structured lessons
• A flexible, adaptable and professional approach
