Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a Bishop Auckland secondary school in their search for a confident and adaptable Secondary Teacher to provide general classroom cover on a day-to-day basis. An immediate start is available and there may be opportunities to work across subjects in addition to your specialist area.

You will be delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour effectively and helping create a positive learning environment for secondary students.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Bishop Auckland that is looking for a confident and adaptable Secondary Teacher to provide general classroom cover. The school is looking for a reliable professional who can create a positive learning environment and confidently engage secondary-aged students.

The school is looking to take on a Secondary Teacher for flexible day-to-day work with an immediate start. The successful Secondary Teacher will provide general cover across the school, with opportunities to teach within their subject specialism where required, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Secondary Teacher will have:

• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering lessons across a range of subjects
• A subject specialism and strong subject knowledge
• A flexible, adaptable and professional approach
