Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a secondary school in Bishop Auckland seeking a confident English Teacher for flexible day-to-day cover. You will predominantly deliver English across KS3 and KS4 and may provide general classroom cover when required.

The ideal candidate holds QTS with English specialism, has experience in a secondary setting, and excels in managing behaviour and delivering engaging, structured lessons.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Bishop Auckland that is looking for a confident and engaging English Teacher. The school requires a strong classroom practitioner who can maintain high expectations, build positive relationships with students and create a productive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on an English Teacher for flexible day-to-day work with an immediate start. The successful English Teacher will primarily provide English cover across the secondary age range, while also being confident providing general classroom cover when required and maintaining excellent standards of behaviour.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status with an English specialism
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school environment
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering engaging and structured lessons
• A flexible, adaptable and professional approach
