Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Histopathology) to join our busy department in St Leonards-on-Sea. You will work within ISO 15189 standards and participate in a range of histology procedures designed to support accurate pathological diagnosis.

The role requires HCPC registration (or progress toward the IBMS Specialist Portfolio) and experience in histology.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered or working towards IBMS specialist portfolio.
• IBMS specialist portfolio or equivalent experience in Histopathology.
• Full HCPC accreditation or eligible for registration at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for senior team members and support workflow management.
• Assist in documentation management and quality compliance.
• Provide scientific services to aid pathological diagnosis for patients.
• Train and develop junior scientific staff.
