Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Histopathology team. You will be HCPC registered and may be working towards or have completed the IBMS specialist portfolio, supporting a busy diagnostic service at Conquest Hospital and satellite sites.

The role involves rotating across the department, deputising for senior staff, and contributing to training while maintaining ISO 15189 standards. We offer strong CPD support and NHS staff benefits.

Qualifications

HCPC registration or eligibility.
IBMS specialist portfolio in progress or equivalent experience.
Background in Histopathology and ISO 15189 context.

Responsibilities

Rotate across Histopathology to provide scientific services.
Deputise for senior team members and support workflow management.
Assist in training and development of junior scientific staff.
Ensure compliance with ISO 15189 accreditation.
