East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist in Cellular Pathology to join the busy team. The post involves embedding and microtomy, quality control and ISO 15189 compliance across Hastings and Eastbourne sites.

The role includes rotating through department areas, supporting diagnostic services, training junior staff and pursuing CPD activities with the department's training officer. HCPC registration and IBMS portfolio are valued.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences with IBMS/HPC status.
• HCPC registration and IBMS portfolio.
• Commitment to CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Embed and microtome histology sections.
• Quality control to ISO 15189 standards.
• Rotational duties across the department and staff training.
• Maintain documentation and support service improvement.
