Job summary

KMC Recruitment is recruiting a Hire Desk Coordinator for its Ipswich operation to join a busy customer operations team. You will manage customer enquiries, arrange hires and ensure a professional, efficient service from enquiry to delivery.

You’ll work with colleagues across the business, build strong customer relationships, and support routes to ensure accurate records, timely deliveries and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service, hire desk, sales support or coordination role.
• Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• GCSE English (Grade 4/C or above), or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
• Preparing quotations and processing hire orders accurately.
• Liaising with operational teams to coordinate deliveries, collections and equipment availability.
• Building strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Providing advice on products and services to help customers find the right solution.
• Supporting Business Development Managers with customer accounts and enquiries.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent service and resolve any issues quickly.
