The Hire Mate is seeking an experienced Hire Desk Controller to join our team in Atherton. You will manage hire enquiries, quotes, orders, and fleet availability, coordinating with suppliers, depots and transport to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Hire Desk Controller or similar role within the powered access, plant or equipment hire industry.
• Strong understanding of the hire process including quotations, on-hires, extensions and off-hires.
• Excellent telephone manner and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise workloads and multitask effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to process information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming hire enquiries via telephone and email with prompt, professional responses.
• Prepare and issue hire quotations, follow up enquiries and convert opportunities into orders.
• Process new hire orders accurately and record all relevant information.
• Check equipment availability and coordinate with suppliers, depots and transport providers.
• Manage the full hire lifecycle: on-hires, extensions, off-hires and collections.
• Monitor live hires and communicate with customers about ongoing requirements.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections to ensure timely arrivals.
