Job summary

Hire Safe Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Hire Desk Controller to coordinate customers, sales, engineering and transport, ensuring efficient and safe powered access hires.

You will balance demand, fleet availability and logistics while driving quality service and profitability. You will support sales through upselling, cross-selling and proactive account management, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or sales support in a hire environment.
• Familiarity with powered access or plant hire is preferred.
• Proficient with hire desk systems and CRM tools.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Organised with strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid UK driving licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by calls, email, and online requests.
• Provide product knowledge for equipment selection and hire terms.
• Maintain customer relationships to secure repeat business.
• Coordinate with sales and transport with BDMs.
• Process hire contracts, extensions, and off-hires.
• Schedule deliveries and equipment servicing with engineering.
• Maintain contract files and compliance paperwork.
• Assist with IPAF training and audits.
