Speedy Hire Plc in Croydon is seeking a Hire Desk Controller to join our busy team. You will manage customer hire enquiries, bookings, extensions and off-hires, coordinating with depots to ensure equipment is available and delivered on time.

The role offers a permanent, full-time contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a focus on delivering excellent service and building strong customer relationships.

• Previous experience in a customer service, hire desk, sales administration or similar role.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.
• Good attention to detail and confidence using computer systems.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of delivering great customer service.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Experience in plant, tool or equipment hire would be beneficial.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Desk Controller to join our busy team based in Croydon.

As a Hire Desk Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting our customers and ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day hire operations.

You'll be responsible for managing hire enquiries, processing orders and working closely with our operational teams to ensure customers receive the right equipment, at the right time, with the excellent service they expect from Speedy.
