Job summary

Speedy Group in West London is seeking a Hire Controller to join the operations team. You will be desk-based, taking orders and coordinating delivery and collection of equipment, liaising with depot colleagues to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction with our service.

You will build relationships across departments, work with stock teams, drivers and engineers, and keep delays to a minimum while supporting our ESG agenda and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop.
• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Experience in hire industry or similar sales/ops role.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from order to delivery and collection.
• Work with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met and service is satisfactory.
• Desk-based role with cross-department liaison to minimise delays.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - West London

Salary £32,324 per annum, pro rata

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they’re satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.

• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role
