Job summary

Speedy Hire PLC is seeking a Hire Controller based at our Stansted depot to drive the end-to-end hire process. You will coordinate orders, deliveries and returns, and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams to meet service standards.

The role emphasizes organisation, communication and a proactive approach to problem solving, with opportunities to progress and participate in ESG initiatives across the Speedy group.

• Valid driving licence.
• Experience in hire industry or similar sales/operational role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the hire process from order to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met and service is delivered.
• Work with stock, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and ensure equipment is available.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Stansted

Working Hours - Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

Salary £29,572 Per Annum Pro Rata

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they're satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.

• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role
