Sydenhams hire centres in Warminster, UK, is seeking a hands-on Hire Desk Assistant to manage the day-to-day operations of the tool hire centre. You will answer calls, take bookings, serve customers, and use computer booking software.

You will test and clean equipment to ensure it is ready to hire, and there is potential for someone with mechanical knowledge to service and repair small hire items. Some deliveries and careful loading/unloading of items for customers are also required.

Formación

• Experience in customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Able to operate a computer and booking system.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Handle day-to-day operations at the hire desk.
• Answer phone calls, take bookings, serve customers.
• Use the computer to book out hire equipment.
• Test and clean equipment so it is ready to hire out.
• Opportunity to service/repair small hire items for those with mechanical knowledge.
• Deliver some items and help load/unload customers' vehicles.

The candidate will be working on a hire desk dealing with the day to day running of a tool hire centre, this will include answering the phone, taking bookings, serving customers, using a computer and booking out hire equipment.

You will also be required to test and clean equipment so it would be ready to hire out, also there is an opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge to do servicing and repairs on small hire items.

As part of the day to day job you will be required to deliver some items on occasions.

This is a hands on job which will require you to help load and unload customer’s vehicles.

You will be working Monday to Friday, (no Saturdays)
