Job summary

Briggs Equipment is seeking a Hire Controller in Maidenhead to manage the hire process for materials handling and related equipment. You will act as the central contact, delivering excellent customer service and coordinating hires from enquiry to completion to support growth and profitability.

The role focuses on quoting, securing hires, invoicing accuracy, and building relationships with customers and internal teams to optimise asset deployment and service levels.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle customer enquiries promptly via multiple channels.
• Experience quoting, securing and coordinating hire of equipment.
• Strong attention to detail in invoicing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Handle all customer enquiries promptly and professionally via telephone, email, and other communication channels.
• Process and manage 200+ on-hire and off-hire transactions per month, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Take responsibility for the accurate and timely invoicing of all hire transactions.
• Maximise operational efficiency by using the most suitable assets and sourcing equipment from the optimum location.
• Generate a minimum of two customer appointments per month for the STH Sales Manager from the existing customer base.
