Job summary

Wernick Hire in Dartford is seeking a proactive Hire Controller to manage the full hire cycle, from enquiry through to contract completion. You will deliver exceptional service, generate contracts and quotations, and drive follow-ups to convert opportunities into bookings.

Joining a long-standing national provider of modular site accommodation, you will support reporting, records, and day-to-day hire activities while collaborating with a supportive team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Hire Controller or in a similar role within portable accommodation, modular building, or equipment hire is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a busy workload under pressure.

As a Hire Controller at our Dartford depot, you will be pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and fostering exceptional client relationships. You will proactively manage the entire hire cycle, from initial enquiry to contract completion, upholding accuracy and efficiency. Your daily contributions will include:

• Delivering unparalleled customer service, building lasting client relationships.
• Generating precise hire contracts and compelling quotations.
• Actively engaging with customer enquiries and identifying new business opportunities.
• Diligent follow-up on all quotations and enquiries to secure successful outcomes.
• Preparing accurate weekly and monthly reports for operational insight.
• Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date records for all hire activities.

• Strong numerical aptitude and IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Essential Requirement: Proven experience as a Hire Controller or in a comparable role within the portable accommodation, modular building, or general equipment hire sector is a prerequisite for this position.,
