Job summary

Jarvie Plant is seeking a proactive Hire Controller to join our Aberdeen Depot. You’ll coordinate hires, support customers, and ensure equipment is available when required, contributing to reliable service.

Based at AB12 3BQ, you’ll work with workshop, transport and depot teams to maximise fleet utilisation, maintain accurate records, and improve processes while delivering a high standard of customer care.

Qualifications

• Experience in hire operations, logistics, or customer service.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise multiple enquiries.
• Confident written and verbal communication with customers and teams.
• Attention to detail for order processing and asset tracking.
• Proactive, solution-focused approach to challenges.
• Comfortable with IT systems and CRM software.
• Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.
• Willingness to grow knowledge of fleet operations.

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a motivated Hire Controller to join our Plant Operations Team based at our Aberdeen Depot ( AB12 3BQ).

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, supporting customers, coordinating hires, and ensuring our equipment is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. Your work directly contributes to Jarvie Plant’s reputation for reliable, high-quality hire solutions and excellent customer service.

How This Role Supports the Delivery of Hire Solutions:

Our Hire Controllers play a key role in delivering exceptional service and operational efficiency. Your work ensures our customers receive the equipment they need, safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for hire enquiries, providing professional and friendly support to customers and internal teams.

• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing, documentation, and asset tracking.

• Comfortable using IT systems and CRM software (e.g. InspHire, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, Outlook)
• A collaborative team player who supports others to achieve shared goal.
• A positive attitude and a desire to grow your knowledge of fleet operations and the hire industry.
