Aldwych Consulting Ltd seeks a Transport & Highways CAD Technician to produce accurate 2D CAD drawings for transport and highways projects using AutoCAD. You’ll support feasibility studies, planning applications and detailed design with transport planners and senior technicians on a varied portfolio.

We value attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a proactive, team-friendly approach to grow technical knowledge in transport planning and highways.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience using AutoCAD.
• 2D CAD drawing principles understood.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive and able to work independently and in a team.
• Interest in developing technical knowledge in transport planning and highways.

Responsabilités

• Produce accurate 2D CAD drawings for transport planning and highways projects.
• Prepare site layouts, highway access, junction layouts and parking plans.
• Assist with vehicle tracking, swept-path analysis and visibility splays.
• Produce drawings covering servicing arrangements, highway improvements and pedestrian/cycle infrastructure.
• Work from architectural drawings, topographical surveys and other data.
• Update drawings based on feedback from clients and project teams.
• Support preparation of planning application drawings and technical reports.
• Collaborate with transport planners and senior technicians to deliver high-quality work.
