Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Highways Technical Lead to shape major transport programmes in the UK and internationally. You will be the technical voice on complex schemes, guiding multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers to deliver safe, high-quality infrastructure.

You will collaborate with clients and partners, drive innovation, and promote digital engineering practices across programmes, shaping outcomes that improve connectivity, safety, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing engineering design activities within highways or related infrastructure.
• Strong technical understanding of highways design and standards such as DMRB.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence.
• Ability to build effective client and stakeholder relationships.
• Degree-level qualification in engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng/IEng) or equivalent accreditation.

Responsibilities
