Job summary

Ringway is recruiting a Supervisor to oversee highway improvement, maintenance and infrastructure projects from its Surrey programme, based in Guildford.

You will supervise site operations, coordinate labour and subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure safety, environmental and quality standards across multiple works streams. Strong communication and drawing-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within highways, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple work activities and operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, work specifications and programmes.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site operations and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Monitor programme performance and support the achievement of project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections, briefings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain accurate site records and project documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients and stakeholders.
• Support traffic management and network coordination activities.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimise disruption and maintain project progress.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all works.
