Job summary

Ringway is seeking a Highways Operative in Guildford for permanent, full-time work on a variety of maintenance tasks, supported by a Chargehand. The role involves completing routine and cyclical works, responding to emergencies, and joining winter maintenance activities as needed.

You should have at least 12 months' experience in general highways work, a driving licence, and CSCS where required. The role requires flexibility to work on shifts and be ready for on-call rotas.

Qualifications

• 12+ months experience in general highways work.
• Current Driving Licence where required by client.
• CSCS card if client requirement.
• Willingness to work varying hours and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance works under the Chargehand on a wide range of routine and cyclical tasks.
• Respond to emergencies and call-outs during or out of hours on rota.
• Assist with winter maintenance activities as second man or driver's mate.
