Job summary

FFW Site Services, on behalf of a Yorkshire civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in road and highway construction to lead delivery across Yorkshire. You will manage operations on site, coordinate teams, and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget performance.

The role requires SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work, and a full UK driving licence, with a hands-on approach and commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven road/highway construction experience.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications required; First Aid at Work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of civil/highways projects, ensuring safety, programme and budget adherence.
• Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Plan and organise daily and weekly construction activities.
• Monitor site progress, productivity and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, RAMS and site procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Maintain accurate site diaries, quality records and project documentation.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
