Job summary

FFW Site Services Ltd in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Site Manager for roads and highways projects. You will lead civil delivery, coordinate site teams, and ensure safety, quality and timeliness across schemes.

Hands-on leadership with SMSTS, CSCS, and a full UK driving licence is essential, with a track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget. The role offers long-term stability and growth within a growing contractor.

Qualifications

• Road and highway construction experience is essential.
• Site management experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and construction operations.
• Strong understanding of highways construction methods, programmes and site safety.
• Experience delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• SMSTS qualification is required.
• CSCS card is required.
• First Aid at Work.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day delivery of civil engineering and highways projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
• Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Plan and organise daily and weekly construction activities.
• Monitor site progress, productivity and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, RAMS and site procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Maintain accurate site diaries, quality records and project documentation.
• Monitor labour, plant and material requirements to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain project progress.
