Job summary

Balfour Beatty Highways is seeking a Site Engineer for the A66 NTP Scheme based in Penrith, Cumbria. You will lead site works, supervise subcontractors, and maintain detailed diaries and records to ensure safety and quality on the project.

The role requires 2–3 years with a Tier 1 contractor, a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, and a valid CSCS card. Driving licence is essential; OT and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2–3 years experience with a Tier 1 contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and surveys.

Responsibilities

• Lead and control site works according to discipline.
• Maintain site records, diaries and checks.
• Set out and perform dimensional checks; produce as-built drawings.
