Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Manager to deliver highways and transportation projects from inception to handover. You will manage scope, programme, budget, risks and stakeholders, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet time, cost and quality objectives.

Role requires experience in civil infrastructure contracts and NEC4; PRINCE2/PMQ desirable, UK driving licence, and willingness to travel to Buckinghamshire sites. Hybrid working and career development are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering highways, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
• Clear understanding of construction contracts, particularly NEC4.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites in Buckinghamshire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of project management and contract administration through the project life cycle, ensuring delivery to scope, programme, cost, and quality.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resource forecasts, and governance reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces, dependencies and delivery risks.
• Prepare business cases, cost estimates, funding applications, and manage change control.
• Monitor financial performance, expenditure, and forecasting.
• Lead project meetings, manage approvals, and resolve delivery issues to maintain programme objectives.
• Manage stakeholder engagement with elected members, residents, statutory bodies, utilities and external partners.
• Maintain risk and issue registers with mitigations and escalation.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, highways legislation and environmental requirements.
• Promote health, safety, quality, and sustainability.
• Clear monitoring and reporting of project performance against programme, technical quality, and KPI targets.
