Job summary

Ringway London is seeking a General Maintenance Operative for Guildford to perform a broad range of highway maintenance duties. You will work with a Chargehand on routine and cyclical tasks, and be available for emergencies and out-of-hours call-outs on a rota.

Training and development opportunities are provided, including winter maintenance support. You should hold relevant Lantra and street works qualifications, a driving licence, and CSCS where required.

Qualifications

• Lantra 12D M1,2,5,6 qualification preferred.
• Lantra 12AB qualification preferred.
• IPV/Foreman qualification preferred.
• Street works Unit 01,10 qualification preferred.
• Experience supervising others and on-site training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and highway works with a Chargehand.
• Respond to emergencies and call outs during or out of hours on rota.
• Assist with winter maintenance activities as second man/driver’s mate.
