Job summary

Ringway is seeking an Operative to perform general highway maintenance and related tasks. The role involves working with a Chargehand on routine and cyclical works, plus responding to emergencies and winter maintenance as needed. Apprentices who have completed training are included in the scope of the position.

It requires a Banksman role, current driving licence, and CSCS where applicable, with a willingness to work varying hours. Permanent contract and full-time hours are offered.

Qualifications

• Banksman and safety-related tasks as listed in the job description.
• Abrasive Wheels andEmergency First Aid are required where applicable.
• Carrying out Safe Dig operations and holding a current driving licence where needed.
• CSCS card should be held if a client requires it.
• Adherence to the company behaviours matrix and daily conduct standards.
• Potential interest in LGV licence; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance works and operations with a Chargehand.
• Respond to emergencies and call-outs during or out of hours on rotation.
• Assist with winter maintenance activities as second man or driver’s mate.
• Complete routine and cyclical works and maintain records.
