Job summary

Ringway London is seeking a Highways Operative in Bracknell to undertake a wide range of routine maintenance tasks under supervision. The role includes responding to emergencies and call outs, and assisting with winter maintenance activities as a second man or driver’s mate.

The position emphasises flexibility, teamwork and safety, with expectations to complete records, undertake training, and maintain plant and equipment. A current driving licence and CSCS card are desirable.

Qualifications

• Desirable skills for highway operatives include Banksman, Manual Handling, ABRASIVE WHEELS, Emergency First Aid, Safe Dig, Driving License and CSCS if required.
• General competencies include teamwork, flexible hours, training willingness and ability to complete records.
• Health & safety awareness, risk assessment and traffic management training are valued.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance works and operations.
• Respond to emergencies and call outs during or out of hours on rotas.
• Assist with winter maintenance activities as a second man or driver’s mate.
