Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking an experienced Street Lighting Operative for an ongoing civil engineering contract across Teesside. You will install, maintain, and repair street lighting columns, lanterns and cabling, and carry out testing and inspections.

The role requires relevant street lighting qualifications, G39, CSCS/ECS, IPAF, and a full UK driving licence. PAYE £16/hr or Umbrella £21/hr, with weekly pay and long-term work locally.

Qualifications

• Street lighting qualification or equivalent recognized certification.
• G39 certification.
• CSCS or ECS card.
• IPAF (1b/3b) for MEWP operation.
• Full UK driving licence (C1 or HGV advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair street lighting columns, lanterns and cabling.
• Perform electrical testing, fault diagnosis and routine inspections.
• Operate MEWP safely for high-level works.
• Follow RAMS and traffic management requirements on site.
• Collaborate with groundworks and civil crews on-site.
