Job summary

WSP Manchester seeks an Associate or Associate Director to provide technical leadership to design teams, ensuring quality on time and budget. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs across civil engineering and highway design projects in the UK and internationally.

This role offers strong development opportunities with landmark schemes, client relationship growth, and active tender participation.

Qualifications

• MEng / BEng / BSc in Civil Engineering or related qualification.
• Chartered/Incorporated status is desirable.
• Broad project experience in civil engineering focusing on highways.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership of civil engineering and highway design projects in the UK and overseas.
• Act as Project Manager, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs.
• Manage resources and people within the local team.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
• Lead technical reviews and foster an innovative, quality culture.
• Develop client relationships and help achieve sustainable goals.
• Lead and contribute to tenders/bids.
• Mentor junior team members and support development.
• Collaborate with regional and wider Development teams for goals.
