Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Commercial Administrator to join the Highways team on the Wokingham contract, based at Hoddesdon. You will support commercial reporting, cost control and revenue recovery across the project.

Key duties include AFP coordination, data validation, cost monitoring, subcontractor onboarding, and weekly/monthly reporting, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an administrative or commercial support role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and submit weekly Applications for Payment (AFPs)
• Validate data, site records and supporting documentation
• Monitor certification, payment status and outstanding applications
• Track costs across labour, plant, fleet, subcontractors, materials and overheads
• Onboard and administer subcontractor accounts
• Maintain utilisation, fleet and resource planning data
• Prepare and consolidate commercial information for weekly/monthly reporting
• Produce analysis/reports to support decision making
• Build strong relationships with clients, operations, finance and suppliers
• Provide commercial support to operational teams for accurate reporting
