Job summary

FFW Site Services Ltd, an established civil engineering contractor, is seeking an ambitious Site Engineer for varied infrastructure projects across Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Experience within civil engineering or construction.
• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Setting out and surveying experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience on highways, drainage, groundworks or infrastructure projects.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
• Ambition to progress in the role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying using GPS, Total Stations and levelling equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure construction works are completed accurately and in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate site activities, subcontractors and construction teams.
• Monitor progress, quality standards and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate site records, survey information and quality documentation.
• Support Site Managers and Project Managers with project delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout construction.
• Assist with inspections, testing and project handovers.

FFW Site Services are recruiting for an ambitious Site Engineer to join an established civil engineering contractor delivering a variety of infrastructure projects across Yorkshire.

The role offers exposure to a variety of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, public realm improvements, groundworks and infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying using GPS, Total Stations and levelling equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure construction works are completed accurately and in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate site activities, subcontractors and construction teams.
• Monitor progress, quality standards and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate site records, survey information and quality documentation.
• Support Site Managers and Project Managers with the successful delivery of projects.
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout construction.
• Assist with inspections, testing and project handovers.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience within civil engineering or construction.
• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification, such as a Degree, HNC, HND, NVQ or equivalent.
• Practical experience in setting out and surveying.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience working on highways, drainage, groundworks or infrastructure projects.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ambition to progress.

Desirable but not essential:

• SMSTS or SSSTS.
• First Aid at Work.
• Streetworks / NRSWA.
• Temporary Works experience.
