Area: Peterborough

Salary: £100-£130 (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week (or ad-hoc flexible)

Start date: Immediate - Temp to Perm for the right person

Role

Are you looking to gain experience in education? Do you want the chance to work across a range of different year groups?

Monarch Education is working with a Secondary Special Educational Needs School located in the PE1 area of Peterborough. You will be supporting pupils with Autism and Challenging Behaviour in an independent special needs secondary school.

You are not required to have a teaching qualification to be successful, just up-to-date and relevant experience working with young people. This is a perfect opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start a career in education.

This position will allow you to gain experience managing a variety of lessons and building rapport with students. You will develop teaching and classroom management skills in an environment where planning is provided.

Responsibilities
  1. Working across different year groups and departments
  2. Managing student behaviour
  3. Supervising pre-planned, pre-set work from teachers
Requirements of the Candidate
  1. Recent and relevant experience working with young people, in education, coaching, or care settings
  2. Degree educated where possible
  3. Passionate and committed to working with children in education
  4. Strong behaviour management skills
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Punctual, flexible, and reliable
