About the Role: AUTISM & LEARNING DISABILITIES PRACTITIONER (NOT MENTAL HEALTH)

£40,500 per annum - Salary - Remote first (must be commutable to Liverpool NW). 9 day fortnight option.

About the Role

Halr Tech Group is seeking a dedicated, experienced Autism Practitioner to support the delivery of community-based, personalised support for complex autistic individuals with learning disabilities, who may present with behaviours that challenge. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of both the people supported and staff.

Reporting to the Autism Lead, you will provide a range of functions to work with staff in the effective and person-centered delivery of support, ensuring that services are neuro-affirming and align with best practices within specialist care. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to advance their career.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of social care experience within Autism.
  • Experience working with individuals presenting challenging behaviours due to Learning disabilities (NOT Mental health).
  • Significant leadership experience.
  • Must be a driver with access to a car, as travel throughout the Northwest (1-3 days per week) is required.

Interviews will be held on 5-9th May. This role may suit an Autism practitioner, Learning disabilities mobility Lead, ABA or PBS Trainer, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Person-Centred Care:
  • Development and delivery of innovative support and interventions tailored to autistic individuals' needs.
  • Mentoring and supporting staff to ensure a person-centred approach.
  • Contributing to bespoke training development and delivery.
  • Modeling excellent practice to maintain high standards.
  • Working to reduce restrictive practices and interventions, increasing quality of life outcomes.
  • Promoting best practices through training and mentorship.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Building strong relationships with professionals, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring positive interactions between staff and the people supported.
  • Acting as a role model and mentor within complex care teams.
