Job summary

CANDL Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in South East London to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The role involves supporting pupils with SEND across KS2 and delivering targeted interventions within a collaborative inclusion team.

The ideal candidate will have TA/HLTA experience, be patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. This is a permanent, full-time post with ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
• Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Confidence delivering interventions.
• Good behaviour-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Desirable: Previous HLTA experience.
• Experience working across KS2.
• Experience leading small groups.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Additional SEND-related training or qualifications.

About the Role

CANDL Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in South East London to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

The school has a strong focus on inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

You will be working mainly across KS2, supporting pupils in class and delivering targeted interventions to help children make progress academically, socially and emotionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is ready to take on more responsibility and work closely with teachers and the wider inclusion team.
