Job summary

Oakridge School is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join our committed and supportive team. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes, and lead teaching when needed.

You will support pupils' academic, social and emotional development, work with teachers to provide quality learning experiences, and contribute to safeguarding and high achievement within our inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience as HLTA or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Clear, confident communication and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and use initiative.
• High standards of behaviour, welfare and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.
• Lead whole-class teaching when required, supporting planned absence and PPA.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
