Job summary

Oak Tree School is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support students to access learning, progress, and develop independence and wellbeing. You will plan, prepare, and deliver activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes under supervision.

You will also adapt schemes of work and resources to meet needs, monitor progress, and provide feedback to improve outcomes across literacy, numeracy and ICT-enabled learning.

Qualifications

• HLTA standards or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Level 2 qualification or equivalent in English and mathematics.
• Understanding of the National Curriculum and child development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals or groups under supervision.
• Produce and adapt schemes of work and resources to meet student needs.
• Monitor and report attainment and progress with feedback to improve outcomes.
• Support literacy, numeracy and basic skills programmes and use ICT to promote learning.
