Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in the Davenham area of Cheshire. You will support classroom teaching, help deliver lessons, and work with teachers to raise standards across the school.

The role involves leading small group interventions, 1-1 support, and assisting with planning, including phonics and maths. An Enhanced DBS is mandatory, and you will contribute to inclusive education alongside SENCO and staff.

Qualifications

• An appropriate qualification such as NVQ Level 3, QTS, or equivalent.
• Proven experience working in a primary school setting.
• Mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
• Knowledge of child development with ability to support literacy and numeracy.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing class cover and supporting teaching activities across the school.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• An appropriate qualification such as NVQ Level 3, QTS, or equivalent.
• Proven experience working in a primary school setting
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check
• Knowledge of how children develop and learn, with the ability to support literacy and numeracy development.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
