TeacherActive is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Halifax and surrounding areas. Flexible day-to-day bookings with day-to-day or long-term placements, enabling you to gain varied school experience.

You could work across EYFS to KS2, with DBS checks and adherence to safeguarding procedures. We offer competitive daily rates, access to CPD and ongoing recruitment support through a dedicated

Job Title: Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant / HLTA

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

TeacherActive is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic

Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across

Halifax and the surrounding areas.

We work alongside local schools to provide reliable classroom support for day-to-day absences, additional pupil needs and longer-term staffing requirements.

We are looking for individuals who can confidently support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 while adapting to different classroom environments.

Working through TeacherActive offers the opportunity to experience a variety of school settings and discover the type of placement that works best for you.

Although we aim to provide consistent placements at the same school wherever possible, the nature of supply work means you may be required to support different schools throughout the week.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates looking for flexible employment, regular school-based work or the possibility of progressing into a permanent role.

The Role

Depending on your experience and the placement, you may be required to:

• Support teachers with classroom learning and daily activities.
• Work with individual pupils who require additional assistance.
• Deliver small-group interventions to support learning.

• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.

• Have previous experience supporting children in a school or educational setting.
• Be confident working with primary-aged pupils.
• Have a positive understanding of inclusive education.
• Demonstrate patience, reliability and professionalism.
• Be adaptable when working across different schools.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold relevant qualifications where applicable.
