Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for primary schools in Bexley, starting January 2027. The role involves leading lessons in the absence of teachers, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions, and supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.

The ideal candidate holds HLTA qualification or has substantial classroom experience, with strong classroom management and communication skills, and flexibility to work across year groups.

The role may include:

• Leading whole-class learning during planned teacher absence or PPA cover.
• Delivering targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy.
• Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Adapting activities to meet a range of learning and SEND needs.
• Maintaining positive behaviour and a productive classroom environment.
• Working closely with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress.

Requirements:
