Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our school team in Barnstaple. The role requires strong communication, relationship building and a passion for helping young people develop socially, academically and emotionally.

You will support SEMH students, contribute to high quality learning and be part of the extended leadership team. Travel may be required as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with SEMH students and improving outcomes.
• Ability to support high quality learning or deliver targeted interventions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching and learning interventions for SEMH students.
• Support high quality learning experiences and behaviour for learning.
• Attend school visits and engage with students, families and staff.
• Be part of the extended leadership team and influence school development.

Job description

You will need to be an effective communicator who is skilled at building relationships and passionate about helping young people develop socially, academically and emotionally and to include:.

Student interpersonal support skills across all ages.

Positive relationships with, the respect of, and the ability to motivate students.

Ability to think and present in a calm, positive, proactive, solution focused manner at all times, even when under duress.

Passion for working with our highly challenging but rewarding SEMH Student cohort.

Ability to support high quality learning and/or deliver high quality learning intervention with our students.

This role will form part of the extended leadership team at the school.

Ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
