Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant in Wideopen. You will support learning, lead interventions, and provide one-to-one support to help pupils reach their potential.

We welcome applicants with HLTA status or QTS and strong knowledge of the primary curriculum. A positive, inclusive classroom approach is essential, with safeguarding at the forefront of duties.

Qualifications

  • HLTA status or QTS required.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a school setting preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons and provide classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Lead targeted interventions to support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and contribute to pupil wellbeing.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

About the Role?

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons and provide classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and contribute to the wellbeing of all pupils.
About you?

We are looking for HLTA’s who:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
  • HLTA status, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practices.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
