Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across specialist SEN schools in Stoke, on long-term and short-term placements.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, adapting activities to individual needs and promoting positive behaviour in a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working within an education setting.
  • HLTA qualification or significant experience at HLTA level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, both within the classroom and through targeted intervention sessions.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Promote positive behaviour, encourage independence, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to support ongoing development.

Milk Education is recruiting passionate, dedicated, and ambitious Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across specialist SEN Schools in Stoke on both long-term and short-term assignments.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced support staff looking to take the next step in their career, playing a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs while working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and inclusive learning.
