Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support learning across Slough and surrounding areas across primary, secondary and specialist schools.

You will lead whole-class sessions when needed, deliver targeted interventions, monitor pupil progress and provide feedback while working with teachers and school leaders to help pupils reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or substantial classroom experience
• Experience supporting learning in UK schools
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour independently
• Adaptability to different school settings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Passion for helping pupils achieve their best

Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work in a variety of primary, secondary, and specialist schools across Slough and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be confident leading whole-class sessions in the absence of a teacher, delivering targeted interventions, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Leading small group and intervention sessions
• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEN
• Working collaboratively with teachers and school leaders
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
