Job summary

CER Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a partnership primary school in Rotherham. This full-time role involves delivering PPA cover, leading lessons, and supporting teaching and learning to help every child thrive.

The successful candidate will have an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding. A supportive, collaborative environment and CPD opportunities are provided by CER Education.

Role Responsibilities

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school:

• Deliver PPA cover during teachers’ planning, preparation, and assessment time
• Lead lessons across the primary age range using pre‑prepared materials
• Support classroom learning and help engage pupils in their activities
• Work closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience for all pupils
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
