Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a welcoming Primary School in Rotherham to recruit a full-time HLTA, starting 1st September. You will cover whole class teaching in teachers' absence and deliver planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, while supporting pupils through small group interventions and 1:1 tuition.

ECTs or experienced HLTA candidates are encouraged to apply, with a positive, proactive approach and strong classroom management.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or QTS or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience supporting teaching and learning in a UK Primary School.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Experience leading small group interventions and 1:1 tuition.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Positive, proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils and staff.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time HLTA to start on 1st September. The successful HLTA will provide whole class cover in the absence of teachers, deliver planned learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, and support pupils through small group interventions and 1:1 tuition. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience are also encouraged to apply.

The successful HLTA will have:

• HLTA status, QTS or a recognised equivalent qualification (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience supporting teaching and learning within a UK Primary School
• Confidence delivering lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Experience leading small group interventions and providing 1:1 tuition
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils and staff
